Role Overview

As a Business Development Intern at Heizen, you'll work closely with our leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and support our growth initiatives. You'll gain hands-on experience in B2B sales, market research, and strategic partnerships while learning about the enterprise software development market in a high-growth startup environment.

Core Responsibilities

Research and identify potential clients, partners, and market opportunities in the software development space
Support lead generation activities through various channels (LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, cold outreach)
Assist in creating compelling business proposals, pitch decks, and sales materials
Conduct initial outreach calls and meetings with prospective clients to understand their requirements
Collaborate with the founding team to develop go-to-market strategies and business development processes
Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, and business development activities in CRM
Support market analysis and competitive intelligence gathering
Assist in planning and executing business development campaigns and initiatives
Help organize and coordinate client meetings, demos, and business presentations

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
Previous internship or project experience in sales, marketing, or business development (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research and analytical abilities
Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and willingness to learn CRM tools
Basic understanding of B2B sales processes and business development concepts
Familiarity with professional networking platforms (LinkedIn, industry forums)
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation

?10,000-15,000 per month stipend + Performance Bonus

Stipend based on experience and performance. Performance bonus tied to successful lead generation, business development metrics, and contribution to revenue growth.
